Why this matters at an urgent care
Most of what walks through an urgent care door is straightforward — a sprain, a sore throat, a cut that needs closing, a form that needs signing. Some of it is not. The value of a broadly trained physician is in recognizing which is which, quickly, and knowing what a given presentation can turn into.
Two of Dr. Padda’s certifications matter here in a specific way. Addiction medicine means that when acute pain needs treating, it is treated by someone trained in dependence — so the goal is controlling the pain without starting a problem.
